Zinnia Garden Cross Section by Cynthia St Charles Price: $800 I can't remember when I was so excited about the arrival of spring! Is it this thrilling every year? The winter seemed particularly long, dark and cold this year. I am overjoyed to see flowers blooming and have a chance to dig in the dirt! That enthusiasm continued into the studio, where I did more "digging in the dirt" with this cross section quilt of a flower garden. Hand dyed fabric for the sky and flowers is accented by discharged and hand painted fabric for the soil and roots. Tyvek®, machine stitched and melted, creates the texture and dimension.
