Wild Turkey Feathers by Cynthia St Charles Price: $1,000 Wild turkeys roam the sandstone cliffs and ponderosa pine covered hills near our home. In the winter, they feed below our bird feeders on a daily basis. During a walk last spring, we came across the site of a turkey kill. The predator had removed everything except the feathers, which were fully intact and beautifully iridescent in the afternoon sun. Bringing them home, I discovered I loved the way these feathers looked against a backdrop of my rust dyed fabric, and I set out to design a wall hanging that would display the feathers in a unique way.
