As I looked at this piece of fabric, I thought of Monet's impressionist works of gardens. Suddenly, I discovered tree trunks and a pond already there in the hand dyed cotton . . . all I needed to do was add the iris garden! Embellishments include hand dyed, hand painted, and commercial silk ribbon, glass beads, and rayon embroidery floss.
