Winter		Cutthroat Trout #1 by Cynthia St Charles From the Hand Painted Gallery Size in inches: 14 x 14 Price: $200 This is one of a series of small quilts designed around my favorite seasonal visual events. A favorite summer activity is hiking in the mountains of Montana and Wyoming, where the snow melts to form crystal clear lakes and streams. In these mountain waters, native Cutthroat trout can be easily observed in their natural habitat. I love watching these colorful, iridescent trout and wanted to try my hand at painting them on silk. The trout are painted on silk with fabric paints, then cut out and fused onto a commercial cotton fabric and machine quilted with metallic thread.
